Ali Enami
I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at The University of Akron.
I received my PhD from the Department of Economics at Tulane University. My research focuses on the socioeconomic effects of fiscal policies.
My peer-reviewed papers have appeared in the Journal of Development Studies, Economics of Education Review, Regional Science and Urban Economics, Atlantic Journal of Economics, Middle East Development Journal, Applied Economics Quarterly, Party Politics, and the Journal of Policy Modeling. I have also contributed to multiple chapters of the Commitment to Equity Handbook: Estimating the Impact of Fiscal Policy on Inequality and Poverty (2018 and 2022).
Previously, I was an Associate at Cornerstone Research (San Francisco, CA) for about two years (Aug 2018 - June 2020). In that position, I provided economic and statistical analysis on commercial litigation matters. My responsibilities included managing cross-office analyst teams, and supporting academic experts in writing reports (e.g., class certificate, liability, and damages), and preparing for deposition and trial testimony. I have experience with antitrust, intellectual property, labor relation, and consumer fraud and product liability cases and my industry experience includes telecommunication, entertainment, social media, automobile, and healthcare (including pharma).
While most of my time is now dedicated to academic activities, I have accepted a limited number of expert work related to commercial litigation matters.
